Liu Huaqian is PhD student in Zhao's group. He was born in Henan, China. He received his BEng in Chemical Engineering and Technics from Harbin University of Science and Technology, China in 2018, and MEng of Chemical Engineering from Northeast Forestry University, China in 2020. he has a broad range of research experience in organic synthesis and characterization, organic-functional materials and fluorescence probe development for chemical sensors. he has published articles in prestigious journals including Advanced Functional Materials and Analytical (please see publications for details).

He joined the Zhao's lab in June 2020 as a research assistant. His research interest is biofabrication and development tissue-engineered materials for addressing clinical issues. He is excited to work in this interdisciplinary environment for expanding his knowledge and developing technologies for human health.
