ZHAO Shuai is from Shanxi, China. He joined Prof. ZHAO’s team in 2022. His research interests are in biofabrication and biomaterials for regenerative repair using tissue engineering techniques. He is currently working on stem cell behaviour in different biomaterials and scaffolds. He is excited to work in this interdisciplinary group and hopes to gain more knowledge and experience.<audio controls="controls" style="display: none;"></audio>

Avery Lam is from Toronto, Canada. He is currently enrolled in the undergraduate chemical engineering program at the University of Waterloo in Canada. He has previously worked as an assistant in a materials engineering firm (FALCONMET Engineering & Laboratories Inc.) and as a laboratory assistant (Environment and Climate Change Canada). He joined Dr. Xin Zhao’s group as a part of the University of Waterloo’s coop program and hopes to further his knowledge and experience with this exchange. His interests lie broadly in the research and development of materials, and he hopes to further pursue a career in a similar field after graduation.
