Piao Yun is from Jilin, China. He obtained  his bachelor's degree in Material science and engineering from Xian Jiao Tong University in 2017 and he studied his M.Phil. of Biomedical Engineering studies at Hong Kong Polytechnic University in Tissue engineering, Electrohydrodynamic atomization, and Microfluidics. In the past he has worked on the construction of artificial periosteum using microfluidic assisted electrospray and electrospinning method. He joined the Biomaterials lab of Dr. Zhao Xin to work on tissue regeneration and hopes to expand his knowledge on microfluidics.
