ZHANG Qiang

ZHANG Qiang

Mr. Qiang Zhang had obtained his PhD at the Department of Biomedical Engineering, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong SAR, China and is currently working as a postdoc at City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong SAR, China. He received his both Bachelor of Clinical Medicine (2016) and Master of Public Health (2018) from Xi’an Jiaotong University, China. Mr. Zhang is trained as a scientist with interdisciplinary backgrounds including medical science, material science and chemical science. His research focused on design and development of novel tissue engineering scaffolds as well as the smart targeted drug delivery systems for soft tissue (e.g., vascular and tendon tissues) and hard tissue (e.g., bone tissue) regeneration. He applied various cutting-edge techniques such as electrospinning, 3D printing and microfluidics in his research field, dedicating to translate the engineering innovations into clinical solutions. In his free time, Mr. Zhang enjoys running, travelling, and trying out new things.
